I'm Sean, 23, from the Buffalo NY area. I've loved junkyarding as long as I was old enough to go. I own several cars that probably should be in one- a '78 Pontiac Grand Am, a '71 Grand Ville, a '69 Beetle, and an '83 Honda Accord hatchback, my faithful junkyard runner. It's amazing what you can fit ...

I actually made a few day trips there. Great place. But those hills reminded me I was out of shape! They had quite the selection of trucks there, from the 60's on up, foreign and domestic. It was weird seeing how different their crop of cars was compared to Buffalo's U-pull-it, only 3.5 hours away.

I'll keep researching, as I'm one of their "ebay guys", and it adds up quite a bit. The owner seems like a reasonable guy, so a few of his best customers sitting down with him and discussing it may change things. One of his inlaws told me it was indeed a just an excuse to get more money ou...

The local U-pull-it I frequent not only raised their prices a decent amount this month, but they also charge environmental fees on EVERYTHING now. I used to pay $1 per visit, maybe $2 if I bought over $100 worth of small parts. No biggie. But now it's $.50- $1 on EACH item, and those are $4-$12 item...

Thanks. 8) Mine has been in the family since new, and I'm collecting parts. It's hard to even find a decent G-body parts car around here anymore. My best find was a '79 Grand Lemans with a beautiful red interior exactly like mine, and a hammered body, which I bought for $150 and stripped.

I love the colorful folks at the junkyard. There are the "tire guys", who are always there competing for the best tires to re-sell. One guy is straight from Russia and I can understand 1/10 of what he says, love that guy. There are a slew of guys who fix cars on the side, and are always pu...

The only one of these I've ever seen, besides mine, was in a junkyard, and I still need parts. Grilles and headlight surrounds without flaking and pitted chrome, corner lights, un-dented stainless side trim for a 2 or 4-door(also used on Grand Lemans), and a really nice dash badge w/o the "vent...

I have quite a lot of tools I bring. My best investment was a $50 wagon (garden cart) with knobby tires and fold-down sides. I have a box of misc tools I can barely lift, and a small box filled with sockets, extensions, and ratchets. I bought a $20 Craftsman kit with all kinds of torx, allen, and sc...

Great yard! It's rather primitive- No credit cards, wheel barrows for rent, no website, muddy, cars aren't up on stands. And have fun pulling a lowered car into the parking lot. But the prices are good, even after they raised them in January. It's strictly u-pull-it, although they will pull en...
